JOB DESCRIPTION
PRODUCTION DESIGNER, MOTION GRAPHICS
Studio
Reports to: Studio Director

Job Summary

We are seeking a Production Designer with a core focus in 2D animation and light motion editing to join our multidisciplinary studio. You'll bring concepts to life using compelling motion graphics, support storytelling through dynamic visuals, and enhance our pharmaceutical and healthcare brands with engaging animated content in materials across multiple brands and business units. You’ll also support some traditional production needs — ensuring brand consistency and executional excellence across all formats.

This is a production-focused role with light design adaptation, working in close collaboration with Studio partners, project managers, and editorial and creative teams to ensure presentations meet technical specifications, brand standards, and delivery deadlines.

Key Job Responsibilities (Duties may include, but are not limited to all or some of the following)

  • Create and update 2D animations and motion graphics for digital campaigns, social content, internal communications, presentations, and video assets using tools like Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere.
  • Produce clean, well-organized motion project files that are efficient, reusable, and adaptable for various use cases, maintaining brand identity and message clarity.
  • Ensure all animated content adheres to brand, client, regulatory, and accessibility standards.
  • Create and adapt digital production files as needed, maintaining a high level of accuracy, version control, and alignment with brand standards.
  • Uphold quality control standards across all output, whether animated or static.
  • Work closely with Production/Purchasing to ensure all motion and design assets are properly licensed and compliant.
  • Collaborate closely with Studio, Creative, Editorial, and Project Management teams to track, receive, and process revisions efficiently through our Studio production workflow.
  • Support internal and agency asset standardization efforts.
  • Assist with light design adaptation where required (e.g., reflowing content into an existing layout, applying brand styling, scrolling text for social).
  • Provide quality assurance and preflight checks before file handoff or delivery.
Job Qualifications (Skills/Requirements)

  • 5+ years of professional experience in motion design, animation, and digital/print production, ideally within healthcare, pharma, or regulated industries.
  • Expertise in Adobe After Effects and a strong portfolio showcasing 2D animation, motion design, and visual storytelling.
  • Strong command of Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Premiere Pro.
  • Working knowledge of tools like Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in both animated and static media, with strong file hygiene and organizational habits.
  • Deep understanding of animation principles, typography in motion, pacing, and transitions.
  • Experience with audio syncing, timing, and light sound editing.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and a proactive problem solver.
  • Comfortable balancing multiple projects and adapting to evolving studio needs.
  • Comfort working with templated materials and content-heavy decks, rather than developing original visual concepts.
  • Ability to handle large volumes of edits and updates while maintaining high attention to detail and organization.
  • Strong file management and version control discipline.
  • Ability to prioritize efficiently and work well in a team
  • Ability to creatively problem solve and hunt for information
  • Desire to learn and grow into new responsibilities as the studio evolves
